Big Footy

Big Footy is a football website that I was a member of until October 2004. Things were going OK, until the 2004 federal election. I posted a rant on their political board and I was rounded on by a number of members. I didn't mind that so much (I knew I'd annoy a few people accusing them of being greedy, gullible or intolerant), but several members went way too far!

On top of that list was Bunsen Burner - who has an article to himself for what he did to me, along with Roylion who also appeared in this poor excuse for a safe place for an Aspie (his article of course concerns another forum as well). But they weren't the only ones. And at the top of the list was the owner - Adrian Appleyard.

His refusal to delete my account at the time, insisting on leaving the account "temporarily suspended" (that has finally been changed to "red card"), plus a whole heap of lies throughout the dispute before I left. Such as;

“I don't "do" demands.”

Which another member picked up as a flagrant lie.

This was directed at Bunsen Burner - which if it was true would have had him booted (remembering how BB behaved towards me. It didn't.

This is why Appleyard is an Aspie Enemy. There is no formal training available that works to the appropriate level. If he had any true knowledge of Aspergers (which he claimed) then he would know that. I am NOT aware of the RESPONSES to those actions - unless I am told or it is blatantly obvious to ME. No amount of formal training can overcome that problem.

I already have, you filthy little liar and discriminator! And the shield is there for a bloody good reason! To protect me from people like you! I listen when things make sense. When they don't I say so - and I switch off if the response is anything like those who abused me personally.

And most of that was gleaned from just one post at Big Footy!!

I made a number of legal enquiries trying to get my account deleted lock stock and barrel including an enquiry to the Privacy Commission (this was because my birth date was in there as well as my email address until I changed it). Appleyard claimed that he had blocked off my account to me (which was another lie as if that had been the case I wouldn't have been able to change my email address to begin with) amongst other lies, but the Privacy Commission accepted his lie and that angle was cut off.

I then tried to contact the domain hosts for little result, and the ownership actually threatened ME with legal action if I didn't stop slandering Appleyard! My response was words to the effect of "just bring it!" I knew they were just trying to scare me and it didn't work, and I didn't hear from their mythical lawyer.

Of course, Appleyard wasn't the only problem. I highlighted him because he is the owner of the website.

There was Otaku;

And various others who pretty much sided with these two and BB. And Roylion when he was trolling me.

Otaku refuses to acknowledge that communication is a two way street, and over reacted to "livelihood" (and he should learn how to spell). Monkey supports Great Southern Railway in it's refusal to carry me unless I pay for the sleeping berth, and he also supports the idea that I should abandon the football project - for which he should be condemned.

Big Footy has a reputation of having a majority of "juveniles" amongst the membership. Occasionally intelligent discussion does occur, but for the most part the forum is a meat market for morons and petulant fools who are old enough to know better. It gives rise to intolerance, and that's why it is without a doubt Aspie Unfriendly.
